May 14, 2005- An 84-year-old, Palestinian man, Sheikh Mahmoud Abu Rabei, shows to the Media the key to his home in Bet Jibreen, a town in Israel proper. Abu Rabei was forced to abandon his home during the 1948 Middle East War and has since lived in the al-Fawwar refugee camp near the West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron). Sunday is the 57th anniversary of the creation of Israel. Israelis celebrate this day as their Independence Day while Palestinians refer to it as Naqba, the day of catastrophe- Photo by/Nayef Hashlamoun.
