June 2, 2005- An Israeli soldier stops his comrade from pointing his gun at relatives of Palestinian prisoners as they wait for them in Idna, a village near the West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron). Israel began freeing 400 Palestinian prisoners on Thursday in a long-delayed gesture that Israel claims is designed at boosting moderate Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. However, most Palestinians believe the act to be insufficient because the number released is such a small number of the total number of prisoners held by Israel- Photo by; Nayef Hashlamoun.
